How each way returns work

An each way bet is two equal stakes: one to win and one to place. Place odds are the fractional win odds multiplied by the place terms. A win pays both parts; placed only pays the place part; a loss pays neither.

£5 each way (£10 total) at 10/1 with 1/5 place terms. If it wins: £55 + £15 = £70 back, £60 profit. If it only places: £15 back, £5 profit.

These calculations assume the stated odds and terms apply, with no deductions, dead heats, fees or winnings caps. They do not predict an outcome. Check the bet’s terms and only gamble what you can afford to lose.
